03. ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP - MANDATORY FOR CONSIGNMENT
3.1 Mandatory Annual Membership Fee
To consign items with SINUBLI, you must maintain an active annual membership. The annual membership fee is ₱950, charged once per year on your membership activation date.
This annual membership is NON-REFUNDABLE and required for ALL consignors. There are no exceptions or free consignment options. Individuals who wish to contribute clothing without paying a fee are welcome to donate to SINUBLI instead.
3.2 What's Included in the ₱950 Annual Membership
Service Included | Description |
Listing Fee | Professional inventory assessment, photography, and website listing |
Platform Fees | Access to Consignor Portal, real-time tracking, and transaction management |
Unlimited Consignments | Send unlimited batches of items throughout the year with no additional per-batch fees |
Priority Support | Faster email & chat response times for questions and disputes |
3.3 Payment and Renewal
The annual membership fee (₱950) is due upfront before you can submit your first batch of items. Your membership will be automatically charged for renewal on the anniversary date each year. Consignors are responsible for ensuring their payment information is current.
3.4 Membership Cancellation
Consignors may cancel their membership at any time by contacting SINUBLI via email (thesinubliproject@gmail.com). Once cancelled, you may no longer submit new items for consignment. No refunds are issued for the annual fee, even if cancelled mid-year. Items already in the marketplace will continue to be sold under the existing consignment agreement.
03B. TIPS: HOW TO MAXIMIZE YOUR ₱950 ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP
The ₱950 annual membership pays for itself quickly when you consign strategically. Here are our best tips to maximize your membership investment and earnings:
Tip #1: Prioritize High-Quality, High-Value Items
Focus on consigning quality pieces that command higher prices. Designer brands, premium fabrics, and items in excellent condition sell faster and for more money. A single high-value item sale can cover your entire annual membership fee. For example, if you consign a quality designer piece selling for ₱3,000, you earn ₱1,500—already 58% of your annual membership cost recouped from one item.
Tip #2: Invite Friends & Neighbors to Consign Together
Combine your items into one shipment to split shipping costs with friends, family, or neighbors. If 5 people each send 50 pieces in one box instead of individually, you collectively save hundreds of pesos on courier fees. Smaller shipping costs mean higher net earnings. Plus, you build community while decluttering together!
Tip #3: Send Multiple Batches Throughout the Year
Your membership covers unlimited consignments for 12 months. Take advantage of this by sending seasonal clothing, wardrobe refreshes, and regular decluttering batches. More items = more sales = faster ROI on your membership. Think of it as sending items 2-3 times per year to keep your offerings fresh.
Tip #4: Bundle Low-Value Items
Don't pass up items that aren't high-end. Bundle basics, t-shirts, casual wear, and lower-value pieces together in single listings. Multiple lower-priced items selling daily can generate steady income that builds up. Volume matters—many small sales add up to big earnings.
Tip #5: Track Your Earnings & Set Goals
Use your Consignor Portal to monitor which items sell fastest and at what price points. Learn what your community wants. If you know you need to earn ₱950+ to break even on your membership (taking just 3 items at ₱1,000 each = ₱500 per item × 2 items = ₱1,000 earned), you'll stay motivated to find quality pieces.
Tip #6: Take Advantage of Seasonal Trends
Send summer dresses in April-May, formal wear before holidays, and layering pieces when cooler months approach. Seasonal items sell faster and often at premium prices. Your membership covers 12 months—use all of it strategically.
Tip #7: Convert Earnings to Store Credit for Bargains
Convert some of your earnings to store credit and shop SINUBLI's marketplace for pre-loved pieces at 50% off retail. You can build a fresh wardrobe affordably while reinvesting in circular fashion. Plus, this keeps more money in the SINUBLI ecosystem, supporting other consignors.
Tip #8: Join Our RE.TRADE Pop-Ups
Attend SINUBLI's pop-up markets and RE.TRADE events to meet the community, get direct feedback on what's trending, and swap items without spending. You'll gain insights into what sells and make connections with other members.
04. CONSIGNMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS
4.1 Item Eligibility
All consignment items must meet the standards outlined in Section 7 (Item Condition Guidelines). SINUBLI reserves the right to refuse any items that do not meet these standards. Priority consignment items are in Excellent or Very Good condition.
SINUBLI primarily accepts clothing and accessories for all ages and genders. The consignor warrants that they have the full legal right to sell the consigned items and that items are not stolen, counterfeit, or subject to third-party claims.
4.2 Commission Structure
SINUBLI retains a 50% commission on the final selling price of all consigned items. Consignors receive 50% of the final selling price.
Example: An item sells for ₱1,000
Consignor earns: ₱500 (50% of ₱1,000)
SINUBLI retains: ₱500 (50% commission)
4.3 Annual Membership Requirement
All consignors MUST maintain an active annual membership (₱950/year). Without an active membership, consignment is not permitted. The annual membership fee covers:
• Listing fees (inventory assessment, professional photography, website listing)
• Platform fees (Consignor Portal access, real-time tracking, transaction management)
• Unlimited consignments throughout the year
There is no option to consign without membership, and there are no per-batch or per-item alternative fees.
4.4 Processing Timeline
Upon receipt of items at SINUBLI's warehouse, all consigned items will be fully processed and listed on the marketplace within one month (30 days). This full listing cycle includes:
• Inventory assessment and condition evaluation
• Professional photography and image processing
• Detailed product descriptions and pricing determination
• Upload to Consignor Portal and public marketplace listing
Consignors will receive email notifications upon receipt, during processing, and once all items are live on the marketplace.
4.5 Pricing and Markdown Strategy
Consignors may suggest a price for their items. SINUBLI will consider suggestions but will evaluate pricing based on physical inspection, brand, condition, style, current market value, and marketplace demand.
SINUBLI retains full authority to set final selling prices and may implement markdown strategies over the 12-month consignment period to encourage sales:
Period | Timeline | Price Strategy |
Phase 1 | Months 1–3 | Listed at full retail price |
Phase 2 | Months 4–6 | Automatic 15% markdown |
Phase 3 | Months 7–9 | Automatic 30% markdown |
Phase 4 | Months 10–12 | Automatic 50% clearance markdown |
Consignors will be informed of significant price reductions at our discretion.
4.6 Consignment Period
The standard consignment period is 12 months (365 days), beginning on the date an item is listed for sale on SINUBLI's marketplace. SINUBLI will notify consignors with reasonable advance notice (at least 14 days) before the end of the consignment period regarding unsold items and available options.
4.7 Payouts and Earnings Management
Payouts to consignors for sold items are processed monthly. The minimum payout amount is ₱1,000. If earned amounts fall below this threshold, earnings carry over to the next payout cycle until the minimum is reached.
Payouts are made via MAYA (mobile payment platform). Consignors are responsible for providing accurate MAYA account information. SINUBLI is not liable for payment delays caused by incorrect or outdated banking information.
4.8 Store Credit Conversion
Consignors may request conversion of earnings to store credit at any time. Store credit does not expire and may be used to purchase items from SINUBLI's marketplace or at authorized Circular Hubs. Store credit is non-refundable and cannot be converted back to cash.
Conversion rate: ₱1,000 earnings = ₱1,000 store credit
4.9 Options for Unsold Items
At the end of the 12-month consignment period, consignors have the following options for unsold items:
Return: Consignor arranges and pays for return shipping. Items must be claimed within 14 days of notification. Any items not claimed within this window are considered abandoned. There is no handling fee for returns.
Donation: Unsold items may be donated to SINUBLI or a partner charity organization at no cost to the consignor.
Extension: Upon mutual agreement, the consignment period may be extended for an additional period to be mutually agreed upon.
Unclaimed items after the 14-day window are automatically considered donated to SINUBLI and may be resold, upcycled, or disposed of at SINUBLI's sole discretion.
4.10 Loss, Damage, and Liability
While SINUBLI takes utmost care in handling consigned items, SINUBLI is not liable for: normal wear and tear, accidental damage, loss or theft beyond reasonable control, or damage from natural disasters or transportation accidents.
Consignors with high-value items are strongly encouraged to obtain their own insurance coverage. For items valued above ₱10,000, please contact SINUBLI to discuss special handling or insurance arrangements.
4.11 Termination of Consignment
Consignors may request the return of their consigned items before the end of the 12-month period. There is no handling fee for returns, but consignors are responsible for return shipping costs.
SINUBLI reserves the right to terminate the consignment agreement at any time with reasonable notice (7 days). In such cases, unsold items will be handled per Section 4.9.
05. DONATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
5.1 Donation is FREE - No Membership Required
Individuals who wish to contribute clothing items to SINUBLI can donate completely free of charge. No annual membership or fees are required to donate. Donation is an excellent option for those who want to support the circular economy movement without consigning.
5.2 Item Eligibility for Donation
Donated items should be clean and in usable condition. Items in Good, Fair, Excellent, or Very Good condition are accepted. SINUBLI accepts clothing, shoes, and accessories for all ages and genders.
SINUBLI reserves the right to refuse any donation that does not meet condition standards or is unsuitable for resale or upcycling.
5.3 Transfer of Ownership
Upon delivery and acceptance of donated items by SINUBLI, ownership of the items is immediately and irrevocably transferred to SINUBLI. Donors retain no rights to donated items after acceptance.
5.4 Use of Donated Items
Donated items will be used to support SINUBLI's mission and may be: resold on our marketplace to generate operational revenue, upcycled into one-of-a-kind pieces by trained youth artisans, directed to partner charitable organizations, or downcycled into industrial fibers or waste materials.
SINUBLI has sole discretion in determining the most appropriate use for donated items. Donors may not request specific outcomes for their donations.
5.5 No Financial Compensation
Donors acknowledge that donations are made voluntarily and without expectation of any financial return, compensation, or tax deduction. Donations support SINUBLI's operations and our mission to create sustainable livelihoods and circular fashion infrastructure.
5.6 Donation Receipts
Upon request, SINUBLI can provide a donation receipt acknowledging the items received. However, SINUBLI does not assign a monetary value to donated goods for tax purposes. It is the donor's responsibility to determine the fair market value of their donation in accordance with applicable Philippine tax laws and regulations.
5.7 Donor Liability
SINUBLI shall not be liable for any issues, damages, or consequences arising from the use or condition of donated items after they have been received and processed. Donors warrant that all donated items are not stolen, counterfeit, or subject to third-party claims.
06. ITEM CONDITION GUIDELINES
Our Goal: To offer high-quality, gently used clothing that our community will love, either as-is or as a great starting point for upcycling projects.
General Expectations: All items should be clean, free of strong odors (smoke, mildew, mustiness), and structurally sound. We are looking for items that still have plenty of life left in them.
6.1 Condition Categories
We use the following categories to assess the condition of donated and consigned items:
Category A: Excellent/Like New
Minimal to no signs of wear. May still have original tags. No stains, rips, tears, holes, pilling, fading, or missing buttons/closures. Best use: Consignment — ready for marketplace. Direct resale.
Category B: Very Good
Slight signs of gentle wear. May have minor fading or very slight pilling. Tiny, faint stain (barely visible), loose thread or two, minor wear on cuffs/collars. No rips, tears, or significant holes. Best use: Consignment — suitable for resale with potential minor cleaning or touch-ups.
Category C: Good
Noticeable signs of wear. May have visible fading, pilling, or slight stretching. Small, treatable stains, minor rips or tears (<1 cm in inconspicuous area), small holes (<0.5 cm), missing non-essential buttons/closures. Best use: Primarily donation for upcycling. Limited consignment at reduced price with full disclosure.
Category D: Fair (Upcycling)
Significant signs of wear. Noticeable fading, significant pilling, stretching. Multiple or larger stains, rips/tears (>1 cm), holes (>0.5 cm), missing essential buttons/closures. Best use: Donation for upcycling projects only. Not suitable for direct resale unless part of unique design.
6.2 Items SINUBLI Cannot Accept
SINUBLI generally cannot accept the following for either consignment or donation:
• Heavily damaged items (falling apart, extensive damage beyond reasonable repair or upcycling)
• Soiled or unhygienic items (significant unremovable stains, heavy soiling, signs of pests or infestations)
• Strong odors that cannot be easily removed (smoke, mildew, mustiness, chemical odors)
• Used undergarments (hygiene considerations)
• Items with hazardous materials (paint spills, chemical stains, asbestos)
6.3 Special Considerations
Vintage Items: We appreciate unique vintage pieces. Condition will be assessed considering age; minor flaws typical for their era may be acceptable.
Handmade/Upcycled Items (Consignment): These will be assessed based on craftsmanship, design, and overall appeal. Please provide details about materials and techniques used when submitting.
6.4 Our Assessment Process
Our team will carefully review all submitted items based on these guidelines. SINUBLI reserves the right to re-categorize condition, decline items that do not meet standards, determine final selling prices for consigned items, and decide how donated items will be utilized.
